Primary Assembly is an experimental electronic music project in which multimedia artist, Jason Snell (Bombardier, 5th of July), uses custom-designed software to datamap live brainwave activity to electronic instruments and samplers. His method of creative performance has the appearance, and effect, of TELEKINESIS, whereby the instruments themselves are never actually physically touched.
Within every performance, a feedback loop is created between the durational meditational state required to mentally control the sound, the space itself, and the audience. This recording is a synthesis of each of those interactive components throughout the course of one evening. Recorded live in West Allis, WI, October 2019.
